Botox

From Apple Valley News. Now here’s your two-minute take. Welcome to your two-minute take. I’m Jason Valentine, coming to you from New U Women’s Clinic and Aesthetics. I’m here with Piper Mercer Piper, how are you today? I’m doing great. How are you? Always a good one here at New U. And we’re talking about Botox now. Botox has been around for some time. Mm-hmm. But you guys have been able to advance the process here at New U. Tell me about it. Yes. Well, first of all, Botox is a neuromodulator that when we place it in the muscles of our face, it’s going to relax that muscle. Sure. And so by doing that, it creates a smoother look, a more youthful look. Mm-hmm. And for years, we have been injecting the upper faces. Just the, the brow, right? Yeah. Well, the brow. Mm-hmm. The frown line, the forehead, the smile lines. And there’s just so many more benefits of Botox that we’ve been missing out on. Okay. And we obviously have, uh, muscles in the lower face as well that we’ve been ignoring. So, um, you know, for example, the DAOs here. Mm-hmm. If we go ahead and inject Botox here, it relaxes this muscle. This over time can create those marionette lines on women. Sure. And then we also have the jawline and our patal bands that are muscles in our neck. And when we strategically place that Botox in our jaw and in our neck. This will help lift this area and help with the jowling that we, that we get over time. Sure. And, um, it just creates a snatched look. Also helps elevate this midway face. Mm-hmm. We also, uh, it is an indicated, I have patients that come in and just get their macers done because it’s really good for people who clench their teeth that’s behind the Jaw. Right. Uhhuh? Yes. If they have, uh, teeth-clenching problems, they get headaches. Mm-hmm. So they come on a regular basis and, and just get that relaxed. It also is very slimming. The areas that you can treat with Botox, well, you can do the upper face, which consists of the glabella complex right here. This is essentially the elevens. You can also treat your, uh, frontalis muscle, which is your forehead, moving it up and down. We can treat the crow’s feet right here, which are the lines that we get from smiling. The nasals, which is we call our bunny lines, and that’s just a little upward motion. We can treat a jawline right here, which um, is the psal bands, which is a whole sheath of muscles that come up from our, our neck up to the top. We can get this little part that kind of helps snatch up that area. Our DAOs, which turn our mouth upside down and that’s what causes marionette lines. Our little chin we can treat as well. There’s a little area which we call like an orange pill. When we do a little motion, it kind of will have some dimpling in there and so that will treat that. Also, we can treat the masses. A lot of people come in that get headaches frequently from the TMJ and the masses when we treat that area. That helps a lot for that, for chewing. It also will give a little bit more of a slender face look. Um, so that’s a wonderful area as well. And then also we can do what we call a lip flip or just also for, um, people that are getting what they call the smoker lines. Um, that’ll help with all these lines around the mouth. And it just gives a little bit where it shows the, the upper lip a little bit. We also can do an area and up here, which is a muscle that pulls our, um, upper lip up when we smile. And some people get that really big gummy look and that’s an area that we can treat as well. We carry three different types of neurotoxins. They’re just three different brands. We have Botox, Xeomin, and Juvederm. And the difference is they all contain the same core ingredient, which is botulinum toxin type A. They just have different proteins attached to them other than Xeomin, which is, does not have any proteins attached to them. The great thing about having the option is that over time some people have become immune to certain ones and so that it is nice to have a choice between the three of them. But they all are going to block the muscle that is creating the expression lines, that is creating the wrinkles. Treated areas for neurotoxin will take effect, usually three to five days. You may feel a little bit of changes, but within two weeks will be completely settled in. Usually they will last three to four months. So we do recommend that you come in every three months. Some people can stretch it to four months before your neurotoxin treatment. You wanna avoid any blood thinners because that can cause more bruising. So you wanna avoid, um, aspirin’s, ibuprofen, anything such as Advil, Aleve, Naproxen. Also supplements such as fish oil, ginseng, turmeric, and ginkgo can also, um, be blood thinners as well. Aftercare, um, you just wanna keep your face clean. You wanna stay out of direct sun and heat. You do not wanna work out for 24 hours afterward and you do not wanna directly go and lay down right after your appointment.
